Golden Tea/Coffee
I have had a brass tea/coffee pot which is lined so it is usable (and it has been used a fair amount) since 1987. I like to get it out when the weather cools down. Sometimes I thought it would be nice to have a creamer and sugar bowl to go along with it but I never saw an usable ones in brass and really didn't want to do any more polishing than I have to do now.
But yesterday I found this set in a local Antique Mall and it is simply PERFECT:

Amber glass Fostoria Bowl
Besides being extremely busy, my camera died and the new one must be gotten used to.
This weekend I did find this at a local antique mall. It will go with my matching creamer and sugar and will begin being in use in September!

February Breakfast 2nd half
I was trying to go as pink as I could with just touches of red. The three candles are ones I enjoy every February.
The teapot is Old Country Roses of course but a new one bought in 2000 or so to replace the original which was bought in 1986 and used till it fell apart. The sugar (and a creamer) are original to 1986.
I am also using a bit of the rest of my Old Country Roses set for 4 that I bought in '86 and have not broken one piece of yet, thank goodness.
Current breakfast book is a rereading of Speer's Inside the Third Reich.

A Tale of two Tortes
It was the day of my triannual doctors appointment and I had some concerns so I was not in a positive mood to begin with. In order to deal with my emotions I did what I realized I often do and got very busy with a project that I could complete and feel a sense of control and accomplishment. This time it was making two tortes, a Hazelnut and an Almond. They were my aunts recipes and they came out quite well. There isn't much left of them now but this is how they looked that afternoon.

October Breakfast
My old (26 years) silver coffee pot (I had tea in it though) and the new amber Fostoria coin glass creamer and sugar bowl. My sugar shell rests on one of my crystal knife rests.
Some excellent fall apples reside in the background.
