The Light Blue Teacup

The reason I searched for and found this teacup many moons ago (about 10 years) was because I was watching the entire collection of Upstairs, Downstairs and in several episodes I saw upstairs folk using a teacup very similar.  It appeared to be light blue with flowers on the outside although with the state of our old TV back then it may have been light green, who knows?
But I got fixated on a light blue and after much searching in the excellent antique stores where we used to live up north, I found this one.
The Tea Time magazine just arrived yesterday in the mail.

The Lamp

Just because I am daily thrilled by it I am putting in another picture of "The Lamp".

Memory Lane Monday - 1993

This was a piece of stained glass my mother made and gave me that year.  It is hanging today in my craft room.
When my mother stayed with us that year she slept in what was then my "studio" which was packed floor-to-ceiling with books - not that much has changed in that dept. even today.   But I am happy in that is resembles the drawings a George Scharf made in the 1890's of his rooms.  They are in a book I have (shown below) called "Victorians at Home" by Susan Lasdun.

April Tea-for-one

One is flash, the lower one and the other is without flash.
Fun story about this teapot.  I bought one way back in 2000 something early and within a week managed to break it thoroughly while washing it.
I rushed right out to the store and bought the second one they had and have been VERY, VERY careful with it since and so far...it is not broken.

Flowers on my desk today

April breakfast

My breakfast this morning - no book for a change....
